Regulations governing this department:
1. Entries in this department close Thursday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. and must be in place no later than 8:30 a.m. August 1.
2. All flowers and plants shown must have been GROWN BY THE EXHIBITOR.
3. The superintendent shall have the right to remove any exhibit or plant thereof which is unsightly or has insects or
other pests.
4. Fresh-cut flowers may be brought in by the exhibitor during the Fair to renew their exhibit (after judging).
5. All entries in this department shall be subject to general rules and regulations of the Cowley County Fair.
6. Two or more persons may not exhibit from the same premises in the same class.
7. A person may have only two entries under one premium (class) number.
8. Any exhibit not conforming to class will not be judged.
9. The decision of the judges shall be final. They may withhold any awards if exhibits are not worthy of same.
10. The following score card will govern judging of cut flower:
1. Purity of color 30 points
2. Condition 30 points
3. Size as regard to variety 20 points
4. Length of stem 20 points
11. The following score card will govern the judging of the potted plants:
1. Cultural perfection 30 Points
2. Size of plant 25 Points
3. Rarity 20 Points
4. Color 15 Points
5. Foliage 10 Points
All Premiums are 1st - $2.50 and 2nd - $1.00 unless stated otherwise.
